Iashia Castle and Caleb Gallemore shared the Melanie Cox Memorial Award for the Outstanding Honors Student. Congratulations to both of you: you represent the best that the Honors Program stands for.
[Spencer-Bartlett Respect Award Winner Cortney Tate]
Cortney Tate was the female winner of the Spencer-Bartlett Respect Award. Could anymore be more deserving than our own Courtney? Those of us who worked with her in the Honors Office are convinced that she's the nicest and most thoughtful person we've ever met.
[Outstanding CIS Student Stefan Iaru]
And finally, Caleb Gallemore was named Outstanding Graduate of MSSU for 2006. Poor Caleb was forced to stand on stage and endure quote after quote from professors praising his brilliance, leadership, maturity, and scholarship. But when his turn to speak came, he made such praise seem somehow inadequate as he delivered one of the most inspiring and erudite graduation speeches any of us have ever heard.
Congratulations Caleb. Your legend is secure.
