Steve seems to think we've all been dancing around this basic question without getting to the nub of it:"I’m sure there are many non-lazy honors students, but frankly your type scares me and I will always keep a certain amount of emotional distance between us) and unwillingness to get too involved lest we get a snobbish reputation. Are we afraid that our simply being in the program makes us targets for immediate prejudice, and therefore we must hide it?"
So he lays it out here and asks one and all to have at him.
